Superstrong God

I walked into Manna and I didn't have to say a word, Emily knew why I was there...
I've been waiting all year for this CD!

It's really good as I anticipated. Some aspects of it are a bit more kiddy, stuff that kids will be able to relate to well, but in parts it would be quite hard for kids to realistically sing. And some of it's definatly more rocky, seems to be evolving away from the typical Hillsong sound like United Live has been.

Naturally it's got 'One Way'... we'll definatly be doing that this Sunday!

I like the title track "Superstrong God', very nice song.

I just listend to the medly with 'All I need is You' and 'You are My World', it's so wicked. I just want everyone to hear it!


While I was there I also picked up another CD that I've seen advertised.
It's actually quite good, it's targedted at 7-12 year olds that are too cool for Sunday School and Barney, but arn't (or shouldn't be) ready for grown ups stuff.

Didn't like the first track much, but the rest has some real gems on it. Mainly techy remixs of worship songs, and a couple of rocky ones. "Blessed be Your Name" sounds like something you'd hear in a night club, "I could sing of Your Love Forever" is real funky.

Seriously, if you;ve got kids or you're a kids leader then you;ve got to check this one out. Not all the songs are singable, but definatly danceable and great eneretic background music for game time or just to get the kids hyped up or whatever.
