I'm back!
Well actually I've been back a while, but I've been a little pre-occupied with stuff.
I had an awesome holiday in Nelson with my family and the Pierces, who are practically family anyway. Good times.
We did a walk to the Anchorage in the Tasman National Park, about 3 hours, then kayaked back down the beautiful Tasmin coast. Absolutely stunning scenery. The water was glassy, it was beautiful.
Went to the Nelson Market on the Saturday, got these cute pink earrings, and this funky boob tube with dragonflys printed on it.
Sunday morning we went to Freedom church. Rich and Chrissie Lander and a couple of families from our Dunedin church went up there to replant it just over a year ago. It's great to see it in action after hearing so much about it. For lunch I caught up with Nick and Bonnie from LifeWay, they are living in Nelson now with little Isabella. She's so cute!
Apart from that I mostly read and played the odd game of pictionary. (Me and Kelsi kick ass!)
If you are ever holidaying in Nelson I highly recommend Bethany Christian Park in Kaiteriteri. It's a great atmosphere.
So since then I've been kicking back into work with Kids Church. It's seriously gonna be exciting this year. I've got heaps of vision to see it grow into something so different from what we'd usually expect from kids ministry. And I'm not alone. The leadership at church and our snr Pastor are really excited about it. It's so great to be a part of a church that supports kids ministry this way.
The weekend just gone I went upto Hampdon. Random, yes, but some frineds came accross a holiday house there that we stayed in. It's a great house. I seriously want to buy it. And I would if I had $300,000. For the joke of the weekend, refer to Dana's Blog...
Worship at church blew me away yesterday. Yea we sung the same songs we always sing, but it was a whole lot more advenureous. From song to song I didn't know what to expect. Because of the creativity it involved the congregation a whole lot more then it usually would. And really, that's the point of corperate worship. I feel like we're making small but very significant steps towards stepping out of the box of "how it should be done" into our own unique way of expressing our worship to God. I wounder if God ever gets bored. God created us to be creeative. I think its a bit of an insult if we're not!
I'm back!
