Two posts in one week, you gotta be kidding!
Not becasue I have anything news worthy, but because I can.
Each time I do a big tidy of the children's church resources I find new old stuff.
This time in the filing cabnit I found a folder with "Plays and Dialogues", by P.H.Jones, including "Jonny Goes to Bed", "Doctor Jonny Quack" and "Jonny Reads the News". Jonny appears to be very busy. Pulished in 1959. Yep, typed.
An extract from "Where is Silvia?":
MISTRESS: Have you heard any news about Silvia?
MAID: No, Madam, none at all I'm sorry to say. (Exit maid)
MISTRESS: (Mopping her eyes) Oh dear, I do wish I knew where she is.
MISS JANE: Yes, indeed, I'd give anything to know where she is.
MISTRESS: You know (tearfully) I always felt that she was just too beautiful, and so gentle and so good she was always was.
MISS JANE: (Sadly) Ah, yes, and always so bright and happy. Just a ray of sunshine around the place.
MISTRESS: (Sorrowfully) And to thing that we may never see her again!
MISS JANE: Oh, please don't say that Mother. I can't bear to hear you say that.
Will Silvia come home? Where does she really belong? Is she really a ray of sunshine? Stay tuned for more...
