Where is Silvia?
last time on "Where is Silvia"
MISTRESS: And to think that we may never see her again!
MISS JANE: Oh, please don't say that Mother...
And now, the conclusion of "Where is Silvia"...
MISTRESS: (Sobbing into her hankerchief) Only yesterday she had her favourite dinner and seem to be so happy.
Miss Jane also wipes her eyes with her handkerchief.
MISTRESS: How I wish she would come home. So much could happen to her in a big city like Christchurch. I'm so afraid.
MISS JANE: Oh please don't upset yourself so much Mother. Somewhow I feel sure she will be alright, and will safely come home. It is really wounderful you know, the way things happen.
MISTRESS: It couldn't be that she was unhappy, and wanted to run away, she always seemed to be most contented.
MISS JANE: Ah, yes, (Folds her hands and recites):
Stone walls do not a prison make
Nor iorn bars a cage
Minds innocentt and quiet take
That for a hermitage.
MISTRESS: (Brightening) Yes, that is so. I remember reading in the paper about...
MAID: (knocks excitedly on door and enters) Oh Madam, Miss Jane! Silvia is found!
(carries toy dog or cat in her arms. Miss Jane and Mistress hurry forward)
MISTRESS: Oh, Silvia where have you been!
