Kids and Worship

We had a worship time at Kids Church last Sunday. I want kids to have the chance to connect with their creator. They naturally do when they are really little, and my theory is that if we encourage them to keep connection with God when they are young then they won't loose it.
I knew there were a few boys down the back that weren't into it, but we kept going anyway.
I opened my eyes to sneak a look at what the kids were doing. One wee 5 year old was totally into it! She had her hands lifted up, and I could see on her face that she was connecting with God. Another girl who came to our kids program for the first time was into it and couple of boys were into it too. It was only a handful of Kids out of the 22 we had, but it was worth it jsut to give those kids that chance to reach out to their Daddy God!
I eventually want all these kids to have the freedom to worship God in this way, even have them leading the church in worship. If you have ever seen a kid connect with God then you'll know that it draws your own heart closer to our Creator!
