Kids and worship... again...

The OHP wasn't at it's best yesteday, so someone turned off the lights so that we could see the words better. Interesting the effect that had on the kids. I could still see what they were all doing enough, but when the lights are dim for some reason it makes it easier to let go and worship God. Even more of the kids each week are meeting with God during these times, and they're starting to enter into worship in church as well!

During the teaching time I got every kid to open a Bible, the older ones helped the younger ones find the verse, and even though heaps of them have no idea what all the words on the page meant they just sat their quietly with the Bibles on their knees. It was nuts, like leading a small group of 8 20 year olds in a Bible study except it was 18 5-13 year olds! I asked questions about what it all meant and they fired back answers! I'm not sure if we'll get that dynamic again because I think it had a lot to do with the combination of kids but it certinally raised my expectations of what kids are capable of!
